FVSBank, the beginning

Since 1934, FVSBank has been a cornerstone of the Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and Waupun communities. Beginning humbly as First Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1934, its inception was nothing short of visionary. Amidst the slow recovery from the Great Depression in 1933, fifty forward-thinking and determined individuals, each with an initial contribution of $100, collectively applied to the Federal government seeking approval to establish a Federal Savings and Loan Association in Fond du Lac.

With their request to establish a new financial institution in the heart of Fond du Lac approved, FVSBank’s journey began with an inaugural organizational meeting on August 15, 1934, and the first office was situated in downtown Fond du Lac.

What began as a mere idea nearly nine decades ago has since evolved into a prominent financial institution that stands strong within the Fox Valley community. Since 1934, FVSBank has been known by many names.
